Attallah College Credential Candidate Fieldwork Policy and Requirements – Spring 2021

This post was updated on

While Chapman’s Orange Campus is not currently conducting in-person classes, Attallah College credential candidates may be required to be physically present on a K-12 campus to complete their fieldwork requirements, either now or at some point during this academic year. It is up to the individual K-12 district/school in which candidates are placed to determine whether they will be conducting their fieldwork this spring virtually, in-person, or in a hybrid setting. See the Attallah College Fieldwork Policy and FAQs for information on Attallah College fieldwork placements and its full fieldwork policy.

Candidates currently working and/or slated to work in-person at K-12 fieldwork sites in spring 2021 must follow the university’s COVID training, testing, and health screening protocols.

COVID Training

If you have not already done so, complete the “COVID-19 Safety Training for Students” training modules in Canvas.

COVID Testing

If your fieldwork site requires you to work in-person, Chapman requires that you be tested weekly for COVID through Chapman at either the Student Health Center on the Orange campus or Rinker Health Science Campus in Irvine, until such time that you receive two doses of the COVID vaccine. See the CU Safely Back webpage for campus testing location and hours.

Daily Health Screening

You will also be required to complete a Daily Health Screening and symptom reporting questionnaire via your Chapman email. See the CU Safely Back webpage for more information and instructions regarding the Daily Health Screening.
