Cross-Campus Team Assembled to Manage Communications

This post was updated on

The “CU Safely Back” Communication Plan establishes a framework for communication in six key areas: awareness and education, coordinated stakeholder communication, leadership presence, crisis communication, public relations and community engagement.

A coordinated and reliable communication flow is critical for the health and safety of Chapman University, and must be thoughtful in message, timing, frequency and accessibility for each major stakeholder group. The overarching goal for Chapman is to assess the risk and establish a phased re-opening plan that considers five established mitigation strategies: physical distancing, symptom monitoring, public health interventions, face coverings and sanitation protocol. The communication must support these goals and provide the needed awareness of safety measures and protocol to stakeholders.

A team has been assembled bringing together key areas needing communication to coordinate and define a framework and an awareness campaign to promote adherence to policies and protocol.
