Information on Current COVID-19 Protocols for Commencement

This post was updated on

The university’s COVID-19 Task Force remains vigilant in its work and is actively monitoring the state of COVID-19 in our region. Although the country is seeing a rise in cases, hospitalizations remain steady, and Orange County remains at the community risk level of low.

As our annual Commencement weekend rapidly approaches, we do not anticipate any new protocols to be issued by the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) that would impact our upcoming Baccalaureate or Commencement ceremonies. Guests to campus are always encouraged to wear masks, and masks will be available on campus, however wearing masks will not be required at indoor or outdoor events. Additionally, Commencement ceremonies will offer socially distanced seating options for guests upon request.

Please continue to visit the CU Safely Back site for the latest guidance, and we will keep you informed if any changes are needed.
