Information for Incoming Students
On August 4, Chapman leadership announced that we will be starting the fall semester with remote instruction for most programs. You can learn more about our plans for a robust fall semester here.
We are committed to doing everything we can to protect the health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff. Below are links to specific areas about preparing for your first semester at the university this fall:
Be sure you are following the first year or transfer checklist for successfully starting in the fall. Checklists are available on our New Students website.
Orientation will take place the week before classes begin. We are currently planning a fully virtual experience. In-person opportunities may be available as well. We will email information to incoming students and families as plans are finalized. You can also visit our Orientation website for more details.
Advising and Registration
Please visit the Academic Advising Center’s New Students page for information and resources on advising and registering for classes. You can also visit their FAQs page for answers to common questions.

Every Thursday afternoon we’ll send weekly updates to incoming undergraduate students and their families. You can also find links to recent issues on our New Students website.
International Undergraduate Students
If you are an incoming international student who will be starting in fall 2020 on an F-1 visa and are not currently in the United States, please read this important update.

Program Updates and Orientation
Incoming graduate students should receive updates directly from their program leading up to the beginning of the semester. Feel free to also reach out directly to your program contact with any questions.
International Graduate Students
If you are a new international student currently not in the U.S., please read this important update.
